Design and manage a national tour campaign for Dear Zoo’s first ever live theatrical production. As a trusted household name, a staple addition to the family bookshelf and a popular choice for early years’ teachers, it was important to ensure the production had good visibility across the UK, whilst keeping in line with the strong brand the book had built with its publisher, Macmillan.
With years of experience managing campaigns for children’s productions, both on tour and in the West End, Boom were thrilled to have the opportunity to work on Dear Zoo’s first UK tour. Using our knowledge of traditional tour marketing campaigns, Boom focused on print, distribution, and social media advertising, as well as working closely with each venue for their localised, marketing campaign. In addition, Boom felt it was important to create a strong promotions campaign, building strategic relationships to align the Dear Zoo brand with key promotional partners, such as; JoJo MamanBebe, Piccolo Foods and the National Childcare Trust, to position Dear Zoo as a key player in the competitive children’s theatre market.
